Dear Marian and Torquil,
Ray and I enjoyed the wine tasting so much last evening and also the company.
As always, the evening was so informative and we do learn so much from Torquil's explanations of the history of the vintage and little anecdotes which he intersperses which makes it so much more informative.
Not only that, but we are lucky enough to have the wines accompanied by Marion's wonderful food. I have to say that this is what adds so much to the experience. Any 'Wine Tasting' events we have attended previously, one is given a few nibbles and a spittoon and that is the usual way of presenting the wines. How much more convivial it is presented by yourselves.
To be able to sit in comfortable surroundings, in a relaxed atmosphere and to gradually feast leisurely on 7 courses of tasters, all suitably chosen, with care, to accompany the wines we are tasting is certainly a entirely new concept and so much more convivial.
This is the third Wine Tasting we have attended and we enjoyed every one, we look forward to future events. Ever thought of producing a recipe book Marian ?
Thank you again and best wishes
