Bodegas David Moreno - 3rd June
QUOTE from The Telegraph 16/2/15
"Sacre Bleu! Rioja boom will see Spanish wine outsell French rivals"
Britons will buy more Spanish wine than French within 3 years, as the popularity of tapas has increased demand from Rioja
We are in Rioja today and have visited one of the first wines we added to our list, Bodegas David Moreno.
For our tasting we were greated by Gemma Moreno who is the daughter of David, the tasting room has been renovated in the last few years and is open all year round, if you find yourself in this area it is definitely worth a visit.
In the cellar they use Tempranillo and Grenacha grapes to produce red wine and Viura for the white, all ageing is in French oak barrels.
The grape harvest is manual and commonly held during the first two weeks of October, both David and Gemma are very hands on with all the wine making processes.
We stock 6 different wines from this Bodega
