Noble Hill Winery
Like Lynx and La Chataigne, Noble Hill in Simondium is one of original wines we mported to the UK.
Simondium is the region between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and makes delicious wines. On our arrival in South Africa there were fires raging on the hills here and several vineyards have lost vines to the fire. Luckily Noble Hill's were all OK- however they were involved helping their neighbours water areas to try and keep the fire away from the grapes.
Kristopher the winemaker and co owner here is always very welcoming to carte-du-vin, this year he was not himself as when he was climbing Table Mountain recently he had a bad fall needing to be airlifted off! This is the busiest time in the vineyard with harvest now in full swing luckily for Noble Hill they have a trainee Daniella who has been with the family for a couple of years so she is able to take over a lot of the duties for Kristopher.
Wines all tasted with Kathleen (Kristopher's Mum) and we have re-stocked all our favourites and this year we have added their Chardonnay.
