Goat’s cheese crostini salad with roasted grapes & walnuts

This easy recipe is great to have as a snack, starter or canapes

Oven temperature

Pre-heat Grill & Oven 190°c fan 170°c – 375°f – Reg 6


  1. Separate grapes into small bunches and chop the walnuts.

  2. Prick grapes skins with a skewer then add them with walnuts, rosemary, oil and seasonings into a bowl and coat thoroughly.

  3. Place all on a baking parchment in grill pan and grill for 5-10 minutes. Keep an eye on them and take out once walnuts are just toasted.

  4. Grill sliced bread (coated with oil chopped garlic and herbs) on both sides.

  5. Spread each slice with a generous amount of cheese and sprinkle grapes and walnuts on top of each one.

  6. Put in pre-heated oven for approx. 10 minutes until goat’s cheese is melting.

  7. Serve with some rocket and mustard dressing.

  8. To make dressing whisk all ingredients together and sprinkle over rocket leaves.

Cooks tips

I make the crostini in advance by slicing French loaf and coat with a mix of garlic and herbs in olive oil, place on a baking tray and cook in hot oven for 10 minutes.

  • 300g black grapes,
    75g shelled walnuts,
    1 sprig fresh rosemary, 2 tbsp olive oil
    Salt and black pepper
    150g log goat’s cheese, French loaf
    1 bag of rocket

  • For the mustard dressing
    2 tsp wholegrain mustard
    1 tsp honey
    1 ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
    3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
