Red Lentil & Sweet Potato Pâté

Great served on its own as a starter or on mini pitta breads for a canape.

Oven temperature



  1. Prepare all vegetables. 

  2. Chop onion finely, thyme leaves, peel and dice the sweet potato.

  3. Cook onion until soft and golden in oil add paprika and cook for further 2 minutes

  4. Add Sweet potato, lentils, thyme and stock simmer until tender approx. 20 minutes.

  5. Add vinegar and season to taste

  6. Mash the pâté until consistency you like and chill.

  7. Garnish with a sprinkle of smoked paprika and thyme leaves

Cooks tips

I prefer to leave this chunky but it can be put in a food processer to make a smoother pâté.

Serve with

pitta bread and vegetable sticks
