Introduction

This recipe is great to use when you BBQ a steak just have the walnut butter ready and pour over the grilled meat.

Oven temperature

BBQ or Grill

Steps

  1. Mix oil, garlic vinegar, rosemary and seasonings together

  2. Marinate steak (joint)in mix for at least 3 hours 

  3. In the meantime make the “Butter”

  4. Put all ingredients in processor and whizz together

  5. Grill/BBQ steak or roast joint

  6. Once meat is cooked leave to rest then serve with a good dollop of Gorgonzola-walnut “butter” on top so it melts over the meat

Cooks tips

This recipe says use steak but I have used the butter mix over a roasted joint of beef. If serving with roasted mushrooms add some of the ‘Butter’ and cook.

Serve with

Roasted mushrooms, fried egg and chips.

  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tab Rosemary chopped

“Butter” ingredients

  • 250g Gorgonzola

  • 1 tspn Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 tspn freshly ground peppercorns

  • ¼ cup toasted walnuts
